Vision
Like a ripple in a pond, sexual abuse impacts individuals, families, communities, and society as a whole. Conversely, sexual assault prevention education and access to appropriate treatment resources can have an impact at reducing the likelihood of someone being sexually abused.
Project Impact's goals are:
- Increase the capacity of individuals, groups and communities in Oregon to prevent sexual violence.
- Increase the recognition that sexual abuse is preventable.
- Increase prevention efforts that recognize the unique cultural aspects of specific communities or groups.
- Encourage healthy, non-violent interactions and diminish aspects of society that promote and support sexual violence.
At Project Impact we believe in a world free of sexual violence, where nobody, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, ability, age... will experience sexual violence. We believe that the responsibility of sexual violence lies solely with the offender.
